The delegation of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association met with the Kazakhstan Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Ermek Boranbayevich Marzhikpaev, and several sports officials in the Kazakhstan capital, Astana, this Monday morning to discuss ways of cooperation and the development of sports in the member countries. The meeting was part of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association delegation's participation in the General Cooperation Meeting between the Secretariats of the United Nations (UN) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and their specialized organizations and agencies, which aims to enhance cooperation and meet with several sports officials there. During his meeting with the Kazakhstan Minister of Tourism and Sports, the Secretary General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association, Mr. Nasser Majali, praised Kazakhstan's significant role in supporting the association and its continuous efforts in developing sports and achieving the association's goals. Majali also conveyed the greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association, and his appreciation for Kazakhstan's role in enhancing sports cooperation among member countries. Majali expressed his wishes for the Kazakhstan sports delegation to achieve the best results in the upcoming Olympic Games, which will be hosted by the French capital, Paris, in 2024. The Islamic Solidarity Sports Association is keen on visiting member countries and holding meetings with sports officials to enhance cooperation and develop programs and plans that contribute to the development of sports.
