The delegation of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association met with the Uzbek Minister of Sports, Mr. Adkham Ikramov, and several sports officials in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, to discuss ways of cooperation and the development of sports in the member countries.

The meeting was part of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association delegation's visit to Uzbekistan, which aims to enhance cooperation and meet with several sports officials there.

During his meeting with the Uzbek Minister of Sports, the Secretary General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association, Mr. Nasser Majali, praised Uzbekistan's significant role in supporting the association and its continuous efforts in developing sports in the Islamic world and achieving the association's goals.

Majali also conveyed the greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association, and his appreciation for Uzbekistan's role in enhancing sports cooperation among member countries.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Sports of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shukrullo Mahmudov, and the Secretary General of the Uzbek Olympic Committee, Mr. Oybek Kasimov, Majali emphasized the importance of these meetings with member countries to explain the new strategy of the association and the strategic focus areas that will contribute to achieving the association's goals in partnership with the National Olympic Committees.

Majali expressed his wishes for the Uzbek sports delegation to achieve the best results in the upcoming Olympic Games, which will be hosted by the French capital, Paris, in 2024.

The Islamic Solidarity Sports Association is keen on visiting member countries and holding meetings with sports officials to enhance cooperation and develop programs and plans that contribute to the development of sports.
