His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), chaired the 39th meeting of the ISSA Executive Board today, Monday, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Nasser Majali, the Secretary General of the ISSA, presented a comprehensive report on the Association's activities during the past period.

The presentation by Majali included reports on progress in the new strategy, programs and institutional committees of the Association, and outcomes of meetings held with various committees and sports bodies.

The meeting also featured a detailed presentation by His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Islamic Solidarity Games "Riyadh 2025," about the ongoing preparations to host the major sporting event next year in the capital, Riyadh.

The presentation covered the operational details of the Games, including facilities prepared for athletes, administrators, and spectators, as well as the venues that will host the competitions, aiming to deliver an unprecedented edition of the Games that will bring together athletes from 57 National Olympic Committees in the Islamic world.

In November 2023, the General Assembly of the ISSA unanimously approved Riyadh's hosting of the 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games, which aims to strengthen bonds of brotherhood among athletes from Islamic countries.
